celebrating all body shapes as they are!
Curvaceous Jennifer Love Hewitt

flight of the conchords
Here's some pictures I can not stop looking at of the lovely Jennifer Love Hewitt. They're quite recent pictures taken of her in a bikini at the beach. Lovely shape, but that bikini is too big in my opinion. Anyways. I knew she was curvy, but I didn't know she had hips like that, DAMN! The girl looks good.

EDIT : Here's a very recent blog entry taken from Jennifer's website regarding the candid bikini pictures. I find it sad that the media are giving her such a hard time, but also refreshing that she is standing up to them this way. Here's her blog...

This is the last time I will address this subject.

I've sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women's bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I'm not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image.

A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn't make you beautiful.

What I should be doing is celebrating some of the best days of my life and my engagement to the man of my dreams, instead of having to deal with photographers taking invasive pictures from bad angles. I know what I look like, and so do my friends and family. And like all women out there should, I love my body.

To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini -- put it on and stay strong.

Xoxo

I think she looks great too. It looks like she has gotten a little bigger than she used to be, and it does make her curves come out more. I wonder who that guy is?

She looks great - it frustrates me that Hollywood has given her such a hard time about her size as of late:(

She does look fantastic! I don't think the bikini is all that flattering...not that she shouldn't wear bikini's! Just I don't think that one's the right cut for her. But she is beautiful!!

I do not get a lot of the American media given to me (nor do I search for it), so I do not know what they have been saying about her, but the first thing I can think of - what the American media would say - is that "she let herself go", which is ... a horrible way of portraying women, women always are seen as "letting go", when before they were considered slim, perhaps even underweight and when they suddenly appear with more flesh on their frames, this is considered slobby, "letting go".
It is whatever way you look at it though, for all I know you can consider "letting go" as finally stopping the torment of acchieving a specific size Hollywood needs you to have, finally "letting go" of starvation diets in order to please Hollywood. Doesn't sound so negative now, does it ;)

If anything, she looks really happy.

*pulls out saved rant* (*hopes she didn't comment it to you before*)

let's question where that idiotic phrase came from in the first place. If being natural is 'letting yourself go' then what is the opposite of that, the thing that we are 'supposed' to be doing? Reining ourselves in. Limiting ourselves, restraining desire in EVERY form, binding ourselves, shrinking. and this is the right thing? um, hell no.

I am proud to say that I have let myself go; I have released myself. I have wrested my freedom from society's disgusting restraints. I am no shell, no pretty little plaything. I am a WOMAN, I am powerful, alive, desiring, dangerous, LIMITLESS. I will not hold myself back so that others will not feel threatened; I will not limit my joy because it makes others aware of their own incarceration in destructive beliefs.

Majority belief in an idea does not make the idea correct.

all that to say -- I agree with you! :D and I think she looks amazing ♥

Stepping out of the woodwork here, but I just want to say that I've liked Hewitt since she was on Party of Five and she's looked better and better in the last couple of years. I think she looks gorgeous in that bikini and with the added weight. Much more womanly and sexy then when she was rail thin a few years ago. I hope she doesn't fall back to the anorexic Hollywood "standard".

God those hips are amazing.

Yay for her curves and yay (though I may be biased) for her British bloke who obviously loves her with them :)
