I would like everyone to share the best compliments they have ever gotten on their bodies as they naturally are.
Purely compliments you have gotten on your body or body parts from someone who truly appreciates your shape as it is. Anything goes, from compliments from your parents to lovers to friends to strangers to children. Post the compliments that you will always remember and will always make you smile and appreciate your beautiful self a little more every time you think of it.
Then go out and compliment someone(s) who crosses your path this week and you find yourself appreciating something about them. Compliment everyone who strikes you in some way, trust me, even the slightest gesture can make someone's day. :)
I used to bartend in a night club that opened unreasonably early. My best customers were my boyfriend's motorcycle buddies, they'd always come around and keep me company. These weren't "bikers", they were young, intelligent men who worked for a small and very upscale motorcycle design firm. One night I was wearing a scandalously tight red dress and stompy black boots in honor of the goth night. As I was rushing behind the bar to the DJ booth to stop a disc from skipping, I heard my boyfriend's friend Henri say to him "That one's just a freight train full of sex, isn't she?" with a nod and wink in my direction. My boyfriend laughed and nodded and raised his drink in a toast saying "Yes, yes, she definitely is and I love her."
There's this crazy guy who used to show up in New Orleans in the fall/winter months that I called the Mad Max guy. I'd glimpsed him before, in his leather jacket, pants and shoulder pads ala Mel Gibson, but I'd never met him, he was just another one of the nuts that make up the colorful New Orleans background. One night I was crossing Bourbon St. on my way to a club, when he hurtled out of the crowd and dropped to his knees in front of me his hands clasped as if in prayer. He said to me "You are a curvy goddess sent to earth, I have never seen anyone so beautiful. Will you marry me?" The people watching chanted "Kiss him! Kiss him!" so I pulled him to his feet and kissed him on the cheek and told him "Thank You for making my night before it has even begun." He grinned and ushered me through the crowd and bowed farewell to me once I was on the other side of the street.
